Moving into a new flat
Today is moving day! Nadia's new flat is small, but it is bright and sunny. Boxes are everywhere, and the whole place is a little chaotic.
“This is the kitchen,” she tells her friend Leo, “and that is the bedroom. It isn't big, but it's cosy.”
Leo isn't much help with the heavy boxes — he's better with a paintbrush. “I'm not strong,” he laughs, “but I am creative!”
Her new neighbours are curious about the newcomer. “Are you the new tenant?” one asks. “Yes, I am,” Nadia smiles. “I'm from Egypt. It's nice to meet you.”
By evening, the flat is still messy, but it already feels like home. “It's not perfect,” Nadia says, “but it's mine.”
